Product is Substandard and Subscription service is run by Scammers

The Camera look great but performance is just ok and the app also works ok but as a security system it misses events completely which is disappointing and therefore doesn’t do the job for which it’s intended. The cameras don’t last long and the warranty replacement isn’t genuine. The thing that drew me in was the attractive price compared with main brand systems which I regret in hindsight as the whole thing is substandard, it’s a false economy so I would suggest either doing without or buying a more mainstream brand. The worst part I’ve experienced is Kami Home which seems to be the new name for the subscription service have double charged me for the subscription and they aren’t willing to pay back one of the subscriptions. They operate like scammers and come up with excuse on excuse for their own mistakes. AVOID AT ALL COSTS THE ATTRACTIVE PRICING HIDES A POOR SYSTEM AND AN UNREPUTABLE COMPANY.

Manufacturer's Warranty is a Fraud

Bought Yi outdoor 1080 security camera 10/29/21 from Yi Technology via Amazon for $39.99 plus tax. The unit died within 4 months. Per RMA from Yi's wholly owned support entity, Kami Vision and Yi Support, I returned the unit March 14, 2022. Reception was acknowledged March 15 with assurance that a replacement would "soon" be shipped. It never was, despite 90 days of follow-up back-and-forth. Yi is running out the clock, despite continuing to sell the units on Amazon. Their professed manufacturer's warranty is a sham, a fraud.

Horrible customer service can not get…

Horrible customer service can not get in touch with anyone to talk about payments being taken automatically from account. tried calling, tried to email, tried to live chat..NOTHING... no response. removing the cameras and cancelling my bank card in order to avoid any further fraud charges. Put this place out of business!!!!! POOR service, poor cameras.. Save your money look elsewhere!!!!

Alot of bad reviews

Alot of bad reviews. This suprised me because I have 2 cameras and the picture quality and detection is great. I also purchased cloud storage so maybe that's why I have no issues but I love my yi system. It records great in the house and I have one pointed outside. Even at night I have very clear vision of my garage and still great detection. 👍

Untrustworthy company

I had a compatibility issue with one of their products.

I returned the package as agreed with this seller with the tracking package.

The tracking mentioned that he has been delivered.

He didn't refund me.

Last update all recording stopped

Last update all recording stopped. I pay for cloud all cameras are set to record and yet no video or intermittent video. Why am i paying for storage when your not recording. Also connections keep ketting lost and i have to keep reseting the cameras. Listin china quit ripping us off. This is bs fix these issues and recund my last 3 months im done

The last update you guys made is just…

The last update you guys made is just horrible, yeah you might’ve fix the bugs but every time I go on the camera my phone freezes and it’s brand new phone. This is unacceptable, very disappointed. I don’t know why you guys had to do those updates, it ruined everything.

Yi Disgraceful company 21)…

The latest App update (September 21) has taken away lots of essential aspects unless you pay for their cloud subscription. Previously worked fine on just SD cards.
I will be throwing away my 3 Yi cameras and never use Yi again.
Disgraceful company.
Shame on you !

Thankfully Yi have listened to it’s unhappy customers and rectified the huge problem experienced with an App update.
It is appreciated although disappointed with this type of behaviour !
I now am giving a dubious ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Looks like this has been said here over and over again

Honestly, I don't know if this will even help... everything else here has said the same thing.. Absolutely crap for a company. They send me an older model and claim it's better than their latest so they upgraded me for free and I should be happy. They almost never respond. I've filed with BBB and will be putting a stop payment. Do not buy from them. Don't be me!

I've had YI for several years

I've had YI for several years now. With one camera on my patio I had little problems. Sooooo, I added three other cameras and the nightmares started and have never ended. Connectivity is HORRIBLE. On the night my truck was vandalized, guess what, NO VIDEO. And customer service, it can't be horrible because there is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I'm junking everything and starting over with some other system ASAP. Anyone want to buy a cheap 4 camera system, check my local Goodwill store.
